Literacy Advocacy

We are committed to equipping women and girls with the tools to achieve literacy not only in reading and writing but also in essential life skills. We are currently developing a comprehensive curriculum that teaches literacy in multiple areas, including legal rights, technology, and financial literacy. By focusing on these critical areas, we aim to equip women with the knowledge they need to advocate for themselves, navigate digital landscapes, and manage their personal finances confidently. Our curriculum is designed to address the unique challenges faced by women in underserved and conflict-affected regions, ensuring they have the skills and resources to thrive in both personal and professional spaces.

Active Projects

Why?

  • Women with basic literacy skills are 50% more likely to find stable employment, leading to greater financial independence and improved economic outcomes for themselves and their families.

  • Literate women are more likely to understand health information, resulting in better healthcare decisions. Research shows that children of literate mothers are 50% more likely to survive past age five.

  • Literacy enables women to engage more fully in their communities and exercise their rights. Literate women are more likely to vote, participate in civic activities, and advocate for social change.

  • Each year of education a woman receives can reduce the likelihood of poverty for her and her family by up to 20%. Literacy opens doors to education, job opportunities, and financial empowerment, breaking generational cycles of poverty.

THROUGH LITERACY,

WE RISE.
